July 1st, to 5th

Right after the last devlog, I got to work on the third level. I think its coming along nicely.

I think I learned some important lessons from working on level 2, namely, that I shouldn't try building an interior space out of a single mesh with flipped normals to make it an interior, because that's a huge pain in the butt. Its better to plan out a larger open area, and then fill it with walls to create the rooms and passages and all. This is going much faster and creating less topology and UV headaches.

Updated AI so that bumping into them will make them notice you. Before if you bumped them from behind, they'd just get pushed forward, which was absolutely goofy.

Made doors much better. They now open and close, and not just for the player, but for enemies as well (provided they are unlocked doors)

Heaps more progress on the level vs that first screenshot at the top from july 1st.

hacked turrets no longer shoot corpses.

Enemies can sometimes hear a shot through a wall now triggering an investigation, but not from nearly so far as before.

Added desks, couches, chairs, computers, filing cabinets.

I'm sure theres some other tweaks here and there I cannot remember.

Job interview went well, I am hired, my first shift is tomorrow morning. I will be able to continue paying rent.
